March trip to Chikwawa, Malawi
Charlie Henderson is visiting the Lower Shire valley, in Malawi, from 6-22 March as part of the JANEEMO project.
He, and Grant Davidson, project director, will spend much of their time with Jonah Chimusoro, the farmer responsible for JANEEMO on the ground. They will visit the JANEEMO villages, talk to farmers and project managers, and speak to a food company in Blantyre about moringa powder.
They will also take photos and film footage and interview farmers for a Scotsman article (due to be published 21st March).
There is much progress to talk about and see. The JANEEMO crops have grown a lot, during the rainy season, since Grant's last trip in November. More villages under the escarpment have shown an interest in the project. School children are starting to learn about JANEEMO.
