Fife Diet mid-May update

Our carbon footprint of the Fife Diet is now calculated. We have enlisted the help of 100 'research volunteers' to give us details of their diets. A lucky winner has won a meal for two at The Peat Inn, recently voted Scotland's best restaurant.

Our role is also to engage members with their carbon footprints, for which we have helped create 'archetype' foodies and described their behaviours, including 'Mad Munchers', Average Joes, Fife Dieters and 'Polishing the Halo'.

The Fife Diet encourages people to eat local, seasonal and organic. The team is helping people understand the impact of food miles and unseasonal produce. It is also working with local communities to grow food locally in market gardens and allotments.
